Join us for a heartfelt afternoon of storytelling and celebration at Love Lessons from Big Mama: A Book Reading in Honor of the Black Matriarch. This free and open-to-the-public event will be hosted at Flourish: A Lifestyle Boutique and offers an intimate space to reflect on the wisdom, strength, and love passed down by the Black matriarchs in our lives.

The author will read excerpts from Big Mama Speaks: Love Lessons from a Harlem River Swan, a powerful tribute to the timeless lessons imparted by our grandmothers, mothers, aunts, and sisters. In the presence of like-minded individuals, we will honor the legacy of the women who shaped our communities with resilience and grace. After the reading, you will have the opportunity to purchase a signed copy by the author!

Indulge in delicious tea and light refreshments as you enjoy the reading, mingle with fellow attendees, and engage in meaningful conversations. This event is an opportunity to celebrate Black matriarchy and connect with others who cherish the wisdom and love of our elders.

About the Author

Dr. Sabrina N’Diaye is a thought leader in integrating spirituality with psychotherapy. As a therapist, storyteller, and peacebuilder, she blends ancient spiritual practices with the latest scientific research and wisdom to guide others on their healing journeys.

Sabrina holds a PhD in Mind-Body Medicine from Saybrook University, where her research focused on the use of guided imagery as a healing tool for African-American women with chronic STIs. She is also the founder of The Heart Nest Center for Peace and Healing, where she lovingly serves women, couples, and small groups.

A passionate storyteller, Dr. Sabrina is a strong advocate for the power of narrative in the healing process. She has supported countless women in shaping their spiritual memoirs into unique works of art.

Her own spiritual memoir is woven into her first book, Big Mama Speaks: Love Lessons from a Harlem River Swan.
